St. Joseph Parish School Extended Care Policies and Procedures
Philosophy and Mission
We are dedicated to providing love, fun, creativity and care to all children before and after school. We at St. Joseph Parish School are a community dedicated to nurturing the gospel values of our students. We believe in the intrinsic worth, goodness and potential of every child. Through our teaching and the support of our families and parish, we are dedicated to providing educational excellence, fostering Christian attitudes and developing faith in our students.
Hours of Care
The hours of care are 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Care will be provided on all days that school is in session, early release days and teacher in-service days. Care will not be provided during emergency closings, like snow days and holidays.
Admission
All students of St. Joseph Parish School are eligible for admission.
HOURLY FEE PER CHILD:
$6.00/hour
Hourly rates figured at 15 min. increments (Ex. If you arrive at 7:05 you are charged from 7:00, if you leave at 5:20 you are charged until 5:30.)
Program
A wide range of activities will be offered: games, arts & crafts, outdoor play, quiet areas for reading, homework and study time.
Communication
After registering your child for Extended Care, your family is sent a Sign-Up Genius to fill in the dates and times of the days you will need childcare.
At the end of each month, you will receive an invoice for the time used in Extended Care. Payment is due monthly.
You are not billed for days in which your child does not attend Extended Care, even if you were scheduled to be there.

To reach our Extended Care room before or after school, call (262) 375-6505 Ext. 169. Leave a message if there is no answer and someone will return your call ASAP.
Extended Care Area
The Extended Care area is located on the first level at the North end of the building. The entrance is on 16th Avenue. During school hours (8:00-3:30), please use the main school entrance. Before and after school, use the 16th Ave. entrance.
Drop Off and Pick Up
When bringing your child to the before school program, you are not permitted in the building following Covid-19 safety protocol. Simply drop your child/children at the door with a school staff member. When picking up, students will be brought to the door to meet parents/approved pick-up persons. Students will be released to individuals who have been listed as pick up persons. Individuals who are unfamiliar to the staff should be prepared to show proper identification if requested.
Emergency School Closing
If St. Joseph Parish School is closed due to emergency conditions, Extended Care will not be provided. School closings due to inclement weather are announced between 6:00 and 6:30 on channels 4, 6 and 12 news programs. If you are scheduled for 6:30 a.m. care, every attempt will be made to contact you by phone if the district announces school is closed.
Snacks
Children are provided a snack every afternoon but are welcome to bring a peanut-free snack from home as well.
