Survey
We are excited to introduce a Mental Health Ministry at St Joseph Parish, to assist our parishioners when these storms arise. Our goal is to bridge our faith to challenging times and provide a place to learn, listen, and speak out and be heard in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, where isolation and stigma dissipates as a supportive community is created.
Our first step is to assess the needs of the parish through a variety of mechanisms and all feedback is confidential. Would resources about depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, or something else be helpful? Your input matters!
Please fill out a short survey by clicking on the link below, or fill in the survey found next to the Mental Health Ministry Suggestion Box in the Gathering Space.

Caregivers
We are called to reach out to the elderly
Grandparents and the Elderly are so important to our communities and our church.
By word and by prayer, and by the sufferings that advanced age brings with it, older people have always been witnesses and apostles of the faith in Christian communities and in families.
Anxiety and Depression
The power of prayer on work-related anxiety
There are a million things that may trigger your anxiety, but don’t be alarmed.
Work-related anxieties are common stressful situations that tend to arise due to work or due to your responsibilities at the workplace. Sadly, they are very common, and anyone who is fully-invested in their craft will experience it at some point.
Grief
Accompanying those who mourn
“For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”– Romans 8:38-39
Suicide
What the church really teaches about suicide
As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, everyone is responsible for his life before God who has given it to him. It is God who remains the sovereign Master of life. We are obliged to accept life gratefully and preserve it for his honor and the salvation of our souls. We are stewards, not owners, of the life God has entrusted to us. It is not ours to dispose of (2280)
Loneliness
Healing loneliness through faith and community
Loneliness is an experience that can touch anyone—regardless of age, background, or circumstance. In a world that often emphasizes self-reliance and individualism, loneliness reminds us of our deep need for connection—with God, with others, and even with ourselves.
We entrust our mission to Our Lady of Lourdes who is the special patroness for healing.
May our Lady guide us so that those who live with a mental illness know that they are surrounded by her and her Son’s healing presence and remember that they are never alone.
