Christian Formation Sessions

"God loves each of us as if there were only one of us."
St. Augustine

The children in grades 1-5 meet two-three times per month, Sunday mornings from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., October through April.

Even our young children experience God and seek a relationship with him. To support this, we provide a place in which children in 1st-5th grades can experience, express and develop their faith – in community with their peers and families, as well as adult and youth leaders. We recognize that families are the primary catechists for children of this age and aim to support them in this endeavor by providing both family-oriented and child-centered opportunities.

In our Child Ministry sessions, children in Grades 1 – 5 meet in small groups with an adult catechist to learn the basics of the Catholic faith through age-appropriate activities. Students in the second grade will prepare for First Reconciliation and First Communion through these sessions and a corresponding retreat.
